Amy Sue Hill

Amy Sue Hill entered eternal life on Tuesday, October 10, 2023. She grew up in Port Gibson, MS and was a resident of St. Bernard Parish for many years. Beloved mother of Owen Pecoraro and Jack Gauthe. Companion of Clement (Clem) Gauthe III. Daughter of Mitchell and Patsy Hill. Sister of Allen Hill, Anthony Hill, and Angela Vazquez. Daughter-in-law of Dale and Rhonda Pecoraro, and Deborah Lambert Rosenberger.

Amy graduated from Vicksburg High School in MS and trained at Aveda Arts and Sciences Institute. After graduation, she worked as a hair stylist for many years at Paris Parker in New Orleans where she had a huge client following.  Amy had a very creative side and she often loved creating a painting of flowers or other art sitting on her patio, but her main love was for her two sons, Owen and Jack.  She was truly loved and will be missed by many.

Friends and family are invited to attend the Celebration of Life service on Saturday, October 21, 2023, at Celebration Church, 7500 E. Judge Perez Dr., Arabi, LA 70032, at 10:00 am, Pastor Trevor Truitt officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:00 am until service time.

Charitable contributions of your choice or monetary donations to the family are preferred in lieu of flowers.
