Allanna Rabito Granger Bennett

Allanna Rabito Granger Bennett passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on Wednesday, September 21, 2022, at North Oaks Medical Center, in Hammond, Louisiana at the age of 75.  She was born on Sunday, August 10, 1947, in New Orleans, Louisiana, was a longtime resident of Tickfaw, and resided at Landmark Nursing Home in Hammond.  She was a member of New Beulah Baptist Church, Hammond, LA.  Allanna was a devoted Elvis fan. She dearly loved her family and enjoyed feeding her nurses, CNAs, and Mr. Travis.

Allanna is survived by her beloved children, Peter Anthony Granger, Angela Marie Granger Harwell, Lisa Ann Granger Yates, Benjamin Paul Granger (Michelle), Stacy Marie Granger Morris, Tracy Ann Granger Robertson (Charles), and Kevin Eugene Bennett; grandchildren, Ellis William Harwell, IV., Justin Paul Harwell, Ashley Marie Harwell, Noel Granger, Camron Granger, Katelyn Nichole Robertson, Patrick O'dell Robertson, “shut up” Garrett Anthony Robertson, Madison Paige Rosenthal, Skyla Grace Morris, Vada Yates Freytag, George Yates, Sonya Reneé Lynn Yates Hurley, and Robert Granger; and seven greatgrandchildren, Dakota, Brooke, Robert, Elizabeth, Marion, Ellis, and Ciera. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her husband, Leslie Eugene Bennett; former husband, Steve Granger, Jr., daughter, Tina Granger Duplantis; and parents, Anna Belle Kron Rabito and Peter Anthony Rabito.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Allanna’s Life in the Chapel of LN Hughes Funeral Services, 21400 South I-12 Service Road, Ponchatoula, Louisiana on Saturday, September 24, 2022, at 1:00 pm.  Visitation will begin at 10:00 am and continue until service time.
